Pour la deuxième conférence de cette année (EN ANGLAIS) du cycle Architecture & Culture, organisé en partenariat entre la Faculté d’Architecture de l’ULg et la Société libre d’Émulation, nous recevons Anne Holtrop pour une intervention intitulée Caves and Temples.
Diplômé de l’Academie van Bouwkunst à Amsterdam en 2005, Anne Holtrop a fondé son bureau d’architecture la même année. En parallèle à sa carrière d’architecte, il a développé un travail artistique remarquable où l’architecture continue de jouer un rôle important. Il a été artiste en résidence à Tokyo en 2009, à Séoul en 2011 et à Copenhague en 2012. Il est également chargé de cours au Studio for Immediate Spaces du Sandberg Institute à Amsterdam et rédacteur pour Oase. Son œuvre comprend à la fois des maquettes d’architecture et des bâtiments construits, des œuvres d’art et des meubles comme ceux conçus pour Maniera à Bruxelles.
Dans cette approche interdisciplinaire, il entretient une collaboration régulière avec certains artistes comme Krijn de Koning ou le photographe Bas Princen.
Dans le cadre de sa conférence, il parlera de ces collaborations, de son enseignement et de ses dernières œuvres comme les meubles pour Maniera ou le « National museum for the new dutch waterline ».
Second conference of a series organized in partnership between the Faculty of Architecture of Liège University and the association Société libre d'Émulation with Architecture & Culture as topic.
For this second conference (IN ENGLISH), we welcome the architect Anne Holtrop.
Anne Holtrop graduated cum laude in architecture from the Academy of Architecture in Amsterdam in 2005. He opened his practice in the same year and has been awarded several grants from the Fonds BKVB, as well as receiving the Charlotte Kohler Prize. He was an artist in residence in Tokyo in 2009, in Seoul in 2011 and in Copenhagen in 2012. He is course director of the Studio for Immediate Spaces at the Sandberg Instituut Amsterdam, and is editor of OASE. His work ranges from architecture models to temporary and permanent buildings, on which he occasionally collaborates with artists Krijn de Koning and Bas Princen.
During this conference, he will discuss his multi-disciplinary approach, his teaching as well as his last works, ranging from the furtinute made for MANIERA to competitions such as « The national museum for the new dutch waterline ».
