Pour la troisième conférence (en anglais) de la troisième saison du cycle Architecture & Culture organisé en partenariat entre la Faculté d’Architecture de l’ULg et la Société libre d’Émulation, nous recevons Aitor Fuentes du bureau barcelonais ARQUITECTURA-G pour une intervention intitulée new noise.

Fondé en 2006 par Jonathan Arnabat, Jordi Ayala-Bril, Igor Urdampilleta et Aitor Fuentes, issus de l’Université de Barcelone, ARQUITECTURA-G est un jeune bureau connu pour son travail méticuleux à cheval entre l’architecture, l’architecture d’intérieur et le design, nourri par la recherche et l’enseignement.

En 2008, ARQUITECTURA-G crée ESCRITOS-G, une série de conversations sur l'architecture entre les membres du bureau et différents architectes dont le travail a suscité un vif intérêt dans la profession. La société ESCRITOS-G est devenue un outil qui accompagne et approfondit l’activité professionnelle du bureau dans le but de construire un discours critique et de susciter un débat sur l'architecture contemporaine.

Le bureau lance en 2011 INDOORS, dédié à l’édition et la vente de meubles conçus par ARQUITECTURA-G et d'autres designers de renommée internationale.
En 2013, ils sont lauréats du Prix Ascer (intérieur) et en 2015, ils gagnent le prestigieux Prix Européen Mies van der Rohe du ‘jeune bureau émergeant’.

For the third conference (in english) of the third season of the series Architecture & Culture, organized in a partnership between the Faculty of Architecture of Liège University and the association Société libre d'Émulation, we welcome Aitor Fuentes from the Barcelona based office ARQUITECTURA-G to talk about their work under the title : new noise.

Founded in 2006 by Jonathan Arnabat, Jordi Ayala-Bril, Igor Urdampilleta and Aitor Fuentes, who all of them studied at the University of Barcelona, ARQUITECTURA-G is a young architectural practice internationally renowned for its meticulous work in between architecture, interior furniture design, being constantly nourished by research and teaching.

ARQUITECTURA-G creates in 2008 ESCRITOS-G, a series of conversations between the members of the office and different architects whose work has a major impact on the profession and society. ESCRITOS-G has become a tool accompanying and deepening the professional activity of the office in order to construct a critical discourse and to create a debate on contemporary architecture.

In 2011, the office starts INDOORS, an organization dedicated to the edition and sale of furniture designed by ARQUITECTURA-G and other internationally well know designers.
In 2013 the office is finalist for the Ascer prize (interior) and in 2015 they win the prestigious European Union's Mies van der Rohe prize for the Emerging Architect.
